The challenge
Anything shot for broadcast is judged on the cutaway. The set needed to give directors clean two-shots, four-person panels and wide establishing frames from a fixed camera position, hold the India Sustainability Mission identity in every one of them, and still read as a considered room to the audience physically in it.
Our approach
We built a curved multi-panel LED environment rather than a flat backdrop — a wide centre canvas carrying the key art, flanked by portrait panels and textured scenic inserts that give depth to a tight camera frame and keep the NDTV mark in shot from either side. Lighting was designed to camera first: an even key across the seating positions with enough separation to keep panellists off the green backdrop. The theme was extended off-stage into an illuminated SDG installation in the foyer, giving delegates and broadcast B-roll a second visual anchor.
The outcome
The set delivered usable frames from wide establishing shots through to single-panellist close-ups, and the key art stayed legible on camera across every segment of the programme.
